Jesse's birthday
Wow...three years to the day some horrible bullshit went down because we can't elect a decent president, because we stupidly voted to impeach a man because some whore who wasn't his wife went down on him.

Whatever. Poltics aren't my thing and I'm just gonna leave it at that.

It's just sad that this crap has been going on for three years.

There, I'll leave it at THAT. Heh. So, on the bright side, today was Jesse's birthday party although she doesn't actually turn one until Monday.

It was actually kinda sad at first...we invited this one family from the church who has something like six or seven kids...all the kids came, brought by their grandma and her adopted son. So, that was nice.

We had invited my cousin Bryan, his wife Tammy, two of her three kids and Bryan's two...the party was at 3 and when 3 rolled around, they were nowhere to be found. I called and Tammy answered the phone. I asked her if she was coming and she was all, "I just woke up...I have one kid asleep and the other two are elsewhere...I forgot all about the party...I'm sorry, hon."

I feel like a total idiot and I'm really kinda disgusted at Tammy. So, I stupdly tell her that it was ok (it wasn't and isn't, but I didn't know what to say) and hang up with her.

We invited someone else from church, Kim, who has three kids. She didn't show so I called her and she tells me: "I forgot all about it! This one had a friend that stayed over lastnight and the other two are at my mom's...if you call there, I bet she would bring them to Jesse's party. How many are there?"

I told her and then she apologizes.

I didn't mention that I was already on edge because L was supposed to drive in for her party and he was running late...I had not heard from him and I was beginnig to think that he was blowing off his own daughter.

He showed up 20 minutes late and said traffic was the reason. Whatever. About 10 minutes after that, here came 2 of Kim's girls saying that Kim and their other sister would be there shortly.

I guess it was nice of them to show up after all...not really sure how to feel about that.

So, Jesse got a lot of nice things for her birthday...sleepers and toys about sums it up.

I got her a pair of tennis shoes, a silky pajama outfit, socks, and a bear.

L's family sent a toy and $125 to go toards winter clothes.

Speaking of L's family...supposedly they aren't going to sue me at all now...L told them to just drop it and he would pay them back for the Cavalier no matter what happened between him and me. I think it's BS and I want it in writing.

I think they must truly be sorry for how they have treated me...the price they are paying is not getting to watch Jesse grow up...I don't feel guilty. I probably should, but I don't.

She got a nice card from L's Mom and she had written something like, "We want you to know that we love you and we always will. We miss you."

(I'm not a total heartless bitch, that tugs at my heartstrings)
