10:22 a.m. - Saturday, Apr. 24, 2004 I'm sure he hates me since he claims to have fallen asleep after 4. Oh, well. So, anyway...I came across this diary due to a banner that I saw that matches it. Nice layout, certainly eye-catching. I sometimes click on banners just because I'm curious as to what a person's diary looks like. I'm weird like that. When I do that, I really seldom read any entries. This particular diary made me want to read the entry that was on it. And I, as this person, don't claim to follow politics closely at all. I have a voter's registration card but I haven't voted. Ever. I don't believe in that saying "One person can make a difference." I don't vote. Plain and simple. I do, however, know that it seems that the first time we had a Bush in office, there was a war and gas prices were outrageous. We had Clinton who kept that crap under control and our stupid asses voted him out of The White House because apparently he is the first man to ever cheat on his wife and that meant that he didn't know how to run a country. So, Bush's son runs and wins. Guess what? We went to war and gas prices are sky high. How in the hell is can this person say that they have respect for the president? We're all entitled to our opinions and I really am not criticizing, I guess I just don't really understand how they can respect a man who apparently took presidental lessons from Dear Ol' Dad. They say that gas prices will be over $2 this summer and that's a scary thought...it's anywhere between $1.78-$1.90 now. I think it's premium that is already $1.99 a gallon. With jobs and money being so scarce, we're supposed to be able to afford this?? If unleaded gets to be over $2 this summer, I know one girl that willl have to park her car-me. And now this jackass wants to do away with overtime!! What the hell is wrong with him?? I'm going to post this email that my father-in-law sent me and you can check it out for yourself. > away overtime pay from millions of America's workers. Ignoring > the protests of millions of working families and defying the > wishes of Congress, President Bush moved forward with this pay > cut. George W. Bush is now the first president in U.S. history > to take away overtime pay through regulations like this. The > White House spin machine is working overtime to make this > paycheck attack sound like a good thing for workers. Don't be > fooled! They're going to gut overtime pay for millions of > people. > > Please take one minute to make a difference on this issue by > clicking on the link below and sending a protest fax to > President Bush with a copy to your senators. > > http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/stopbush4otpay?rk=JdzKewY1D1GDW > > *********************************************** > Click on the link below for more information > from your union, online activism and benefits. > http://www.unionvoice.org/wfn/join.html > *********************************************** It's such bullshit, I swear! How can ANYONE repect that decison? How can THAT be applauded??
